Music and technology have always been interconnected, especially in terms of music distribution and consumption. Music streaming has had a very disruptive effect on the industry and all the roles within. However, this is not the first time the music industry has been disrupted by an emerging technology, and, looking back at all of the technologies that have altered the way music is distributed and consumed, the music industry adapting to the changing landscape of technology today is inevitable.
